Innovation Design Engineering: The Polyfloss Factory

The Polyfloss Factory is a project started by Royal College of Art students Audrey GaulardEmile De VisscherChristophe Machet and Nicholas Paget
which was featured amongst the 8 brightest projects at the RCA Degree Show. This project caught my attention because it aims to assist in reducing waste and looks rather cool! The Polyfloss Factory is a micro factory that allows transformation of the commonly available waste polypropelene into polyfloss, that can then be used by skilled artists as free raw material to create other objects. Furthermore, any polyfloss object can be put back into the machine to create raw polyfloss again, there by creating a sustained closed loop system.
