Aurora Borealis Therapy For The Soul #burningupfriday

This week I’ve been seeing random pictures of the Northern Lights everywhere. Oddly, they have also been in the news because of the sound they’ve been making! You can head over to the Nat Geo website for more information on the clapping sounds accompanying the Aurora Borealis. Seems like something out of a Sci-Fi movie really.

Anywho, my soul therapy for this Friday lies in the inspirational, magnificent wonder of the Aurora Borealis. Gazing at the vibrant brilliance that nature has to offer can be soothing for the soul, the best part is you don’t even have to leave your room to experience the beauty.

The first set if from Sigurdur Stefnisson. He has a zillion beautiful captures of the Northern Lights along with many other lovely visuals! I’m in love with his work. Stefnisson has also shot the Northern Lights during the Mount Hekla eruption in 1991.

In the image below you can also see a plane leaving its trail in the ash cloud!

On Pinterest I found a few more images.

If this isn’t enough and you want more, head over to FlickeFlu’s page for the Top 20 photos.

Here’s a beautiful video I came across on Vimeo
