Mechanical Sculptures: Andrea Petrachi

Andrea Petrachi aka Himatic, is the creator of these amazing mechanical sculptures that have been designed out of throw-away, discarded objects. I’m left speechless at this work of art! On his website, Himatic states that he sees his work as a symbol of our out-of-control desire to buy things.

Rodiòn 2008. 30 x 18 x 11 cm. Radio, hinges, toys, headphones.

 

Seven 2012. 42 x 27 x 27 cm. Drill, lamp sockets, audio connectors, toy, kitchen tools, speakers, bike horn, table lighter.

Slim. K 2009. 31 x 17 x 12 cm. Chinese mask, microscope, hardware,lamp sockets, audio connectors, sprinklers.
