The Misanthrope by Andrew Salgado

Andrew Salgado’s art has been a favorite of mine ever since I covered it in my previous blogpost. His second solo exhibition The Misanthrope opens at Beers.Lambert (London) on 11th October, 2012 and runs until 17th, November, 2012.

I personally feel the faces he paints are very dark/magnetic and of-course secretive, may be somewhat mis-trustful even like the aptly titled misanthrope. Now that I think of it, his paintings have this ‘nineteen eighty-four‘ vibe, if only protagonist Winston Smith was this attractive! Visit Andrew’s website for more paintings.
